Spring Breeze Bulb Mix – Blue Anemone Blanda & Fragrant White Hyacinths
Dreamy blue blooms, heavenly white flowers, and a refreshing wave of spring garden WOW!
Bring the beauty of a perfect spring morning to your garden with our Spring Breeze Flower Bulb Mix! This enchanting combination pairs the delicate, daisy-like flowers of Blanda Blue Anemone with the lush, wonderfully fragrant blooms of White Hyacinths for a breathtaking display of color, texture, and sweet spring fragrance.
The soft blue petals of Anemone blanda create a charming carpet of color beneath the elegant, snowy white flower spikes of Hyacinths. Together, they offer a romantic, layered look that's perfect for cottage gardens, spring borders, decorative containers, and garden pathways.
Blooming in mid-spring, this beautiful pairing adds a fresh burst of color just as the garden begins to wake up. The delicate blue Anemones provide a lovely contrast to the full, fragrant Hyacinth blossoms, creating a display that's both graceful and spectacular.
And there's even more to love! These spring-flowering bulbs are generally deer resistant, and their blooms can attract early-season pollinators when weather conditions allow.
Whether planted in generous garden drifts or arranged in a decorative spring container, Spring Breeze brings timeless beauty and a little floral magic to your growing season.

When & How to Plant Spring Breeze Flower Bulbs
Plant in Fall for a Beautiful Blue & White Spring Display!
For a spectacular combination of delicate blue flowers and fragrant white blooms, plant your Spring Breeze Anemone and Hyacinth bulbs in fall, once soil temperatures have cooled and before the ground freezes.
In Maryland and other Zone 6–7 gardens, October through November is generally an excellent planting window.
Because this collection includes two different types of spring-flowering bulbs, each has slightly different planting requirements.
Planting Instructions
- When to Plant: Fall, typically September through November depending on your growing zone.
- Blue Anemone blanda Planting Depth: Approximately 2–3 inches deep.
- White Hyacinth Planting Depth: Approximately 4–6 inches deep.
- Bulb Spacing: 3–5 inches apart, allowing room for each variety to grow.
- Planting Position: Place Hyacinth bulbs pointed-end up. Anemone blanda tubers can be planted on their sides if the growing point is difficult to identify.
- Sunlight: Full sun to light shade.
- Soil: Fertile, well-draining soil enriched with organic matter.
- Watering: Water thoroughly after planting and maintain moderate moisture during active spring growth.
- Bloom Time: Mid-Spring.
Helpful Planting Tip: Anemone blanda grows from small, dry tubers rather than true bulbs. Soaking the tubers in room-temperature water for approximately 3–4 hours before planting may help rehydrate them.
For a beautiful layered display, plant the larger White Hyacinth bulbs deeper, then position the smaller Blue Anemone blanda tubers closer to the soil surface, following their individual planting depths.
After flowering, allow foliage to naturally yellow and die back before removing it. This helps the plants store energy for future blooms.
Our Cottage Garden Tip
Create a dreamy blue-and-white spring garden!
For a truly magical display, plant Spring Breeze bulbs in generous groups of 15–25 or more, allowing the delicate blue Anemones to weave naturally around the fragrant white Hyacinths.
This combination is especially beautiful along garden pathways, at the front of perennial borders, or in decorative containers near your front door.
Pair Spring Breeze with white daffodils, pale pink tulips, blue grape hyacinths, or soft lavender pansies for a romantic cottage garden filled with layers of color and texture.
And don't forget the fragrance! Plant these beauties near a patio, garden bench, or entryway where you can enjoy the wonderful scent of White Hyacinths.
Maryland Gardeners: Both Anemone blanda and many garden Hyacinths can grow successfully in Maryland's climate when planted in well-drained soil. Choose a location with good drainage, especially during winter, to help prevent bulb and tuber rot.
Important: Hyacinth bulbs and plants are toxic if ingested and can irritate skin during handling. Wear gloves when planting and keep away from pets and children.
Soft Blue Blooms. Snowy White Fragrance. A Whole Lot of Springtime WOW!
