Ocean Magic Allium Bulb Mix – Beautiful Blue & White Spring Flowers
Cool coastal colors, whimsical globe-shaped blooms, and a wave of garden WOW!
Bring the calming beauty of ocean-inspired color to your spring garden with our Ocean Magic Allium Bulb Mix! This enchanting collection combines brilliant white and beautiful blue blooms to create a dreamy display reminiscent of sparkling ocean waves.
Blooming from late spring into early summer, these ornamental alliums produce delightful clusters of star-shaped florets that add texture, movement, and architectural interest to cottage gardens and flower borders. Growing up to 24 inches tall, their distinctive blooms float above the surrounding foliage, creating a spectacular display that bridges the gap between spring and summer.
But these beauties offer more than gorgeous color! Bees, butterflies, and other pollinators love allium flowers, while deer and rabbits generally leave them alone. They're an excellent choice for gardeners looking to combine beauty, biodiversity, and easy-care planting.
Perfect for cottage gardens, perennial borders, pollinator gardens, and cutting gardens, Ocean Magic Alliums are especially beautiful planted in generous drifts or woven among other spring-flowering favorites.

When & How to Plant Ocean Magic Allium Bulbs
Plant in Fall for Waves of Spring Color!
For a spectacular display of blue and white blooms, plant your Ocean Magic Allium bulbs in fall, once soil temperatures have cooled and before the ground freezes.
In Maryland and other Zone 6–7 gardens, October through November is generally an excellent time to plant spring-flowering allium bulbs.
Planting Instructions:
- When to Plant: Fall, typically September through November depending on your growing zone.
- Planting Depth: Generally 2–3 times the height of the bulb. Smaller allium bulbs may be planted approximately 3–4 inches deep.
- Bulb Spacing: 4–6 inches apart.
- Planting Position: Place bulbs with the pointed end facing upward.
- Sunlight: Choose a location receiving at least 6 hours of direct sunlight daily.
- Soil: Well-draining soil is essential. Avoid heavy, consistently wet areas.
- Watering: Water after planting to help establish roots. Provide moderate moisture during active spring growth.
- Bloom Time: Late Spring to Early Summer.
After flowering, allow the foliage to yellow and die back naturally. This helps the bulbs store energy for the following growing season. Leave the spent flower heads standing for added texture and interest, or cut them for dried arrangements.
Our Cottage Garden Tip
Plant in drifts for an ocean of color!
For maximum garden impact, plant Ocean Magic Alliums in groups of 10–15 bulbs or more, weaving the blue and white flowers through perennial borders for a natural, flowing effect.
Pair these lovely alliums with white peonies, blue salvia, lavender, or soft pink cottage garden flowers for a romantic combination that feels effortless and abundant.
Their airy, globe-shaped flowers are especially beautiful rising above low-growing perennials, adding height, dimension, and a little garden magic.
