Description
Unlike most of the modern Heucheras that have been bred for fancy foliage colors, Splendens' flowers are the real show stopper. While the lovely green foliage is quite handsome, it is the stalks of larger, showier, bright red flowers that really stand out here. The fragrant flowers shine above the neatly mounded foliage to attract bees & butterflies, and while this might surprise you to hear if you're familiar with typical Heuchera blooms, these are fabulous enough to also make great cut flowers. The semi-evergreen plants are able to grow in any lighting from sun to shade, do well in containers, & are deer resistant.
(Heuchera 'Splendens' & 'Vivid' are fairly similar to one another. The biggest difference is the height, & they do have a bit different hardiness & shade of red.)
