Description
Virginia Bluebells are an Eastern US native. It is a woodland plant that will tolerate moist soil. Their trumpeting bell shaped flowers are a favorite of bees (especially bumble bees!) & butterflies. Bluebells begin blooming very early in the season, & have a long bloom time. They are quite striking with a simultaneous showing of pink buds & blue flowers together. Bluebells make an excellent cut flower. The plants are deer resistant, so are wonderful for naturalizing or as a ground cover.
